CHALLENGES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Junior Project Manager within our Sydney office you will be part of team of 20 enthusiastic marketer, researchers and project manager who are determined to bring the voice of consumers into the heart of our client’s business. We are looking for an entrepreneurial go-getter to fit into this international team (+5 nationalities!), working for some of Australia’s biggest brands and who loves connecting with people to make a difference.
Through your passion for research and your project management skills, you will inspire marketers of great companies such as Nestlé, Sunrice and Lion.

You will be responsible for coordinating and organising research projects both online and off line all over Australia, as well as support more senior consultants in analysing and reporting. You will be working closely with Research Managers and Project & Method Managers across our offices.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

At first your focus will lie on the operational support of market research projects.

This includes organising sessions of 20-40 consumers over a couple of days to attend product and beverage taste tests. This involves:
  • Assist with the execution of research both online and offline, getting quotes from suppliers, managing projects, co ordinating internally timings and costs.
  • Support the operations team with the recruitment of participants and answer phone queries
  • Book venues to conduct product tests or pick ups, Source equipment and product to conduct the fieldwork, Source packaging and tracking labels for in home tests.
  • Recruit, roster manage of casual staff to work at venues or help with preparation at the office, support field manager at venues
  • Liaise with research and data teams to ensure research designs are followed, quotas are met and field objectives/data are delivered to specs.Besides supporting the team in offline recruitment, you are responsible for general project management.
  • You liaise with colleagues from our department Research Networks in recruiting participants for both quantitative and qualitative research projects. You are able to draw conclusions based on field progress reports (both of ad hoc and structural projects) and understand whether the strategy is successful or not.
  • You act as a knowledgeable sparring partner for people responsible for set-up & implementation, and keep consultants informed about the progress
  • You assist consultants in designing (copywriting, question writing, etc.) engagement topics to ensure long-term activity on our Research & Activation Platforms.
  • You assist in moderating engagement topics (responding to questions, probing participants, etc.) on Research Platforms. You do this in languages you have a proven expertise.
In a 2nd stage, your responsibilities will be broadened to data analysis and full reporting: based on gathered market research data, you conduct analyses (info structuring, etc.), and co-design insightful reports with actionable recommendations that support our clients in their strategic decision-making processes. This stage is expected to come according to your personal ambition and growth curve.
 
PROFILE
General requirements
  • Bachelor degree in (Event) Marketing, in Sociology, Psychology or Economics
  • Having a genuine interest in market research.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role (retail, hospitality etc.) or equivalent is highly valued
  • A first experience in market research, database analysis and project management will give you a head start
  • Adequate skills in various areas of Excel charts and spreadsheets, database.
  • Strong English communications skills: Clear, concise both verbal and written
  • To be willing / able to travel domestically and internationally if required
  • To be available to work full time from our HQ in Sydney CBD, as well as occasionally during evenings or weekends
  • Australian working rights
This position is ideally suited to someone looking to step up from an event management, marketing, or hospitality role to a project management one within the marketing field.
